Mission
Color Out Cancer's mission is to brighten up patients at The Children's Hospital Los Angeles suffering with all types of cancer by providing them with coloring books and materials like crayons, colored pencils, and markers as well as toys and stuffed animals to keep them company along their journey.
Why
I was personally inspired to start Color Out Cancer when my mom told me that her co-worker's eight year old daughter was diagnosed with cancer. Hearing this news broke my heart and I immediately wanted to do something. I originally was just going to put together a little gift basket for her, but I decided to make it bigger and brighten up other kids' lives.
